Save the date?

Hey, I have no idea if you send out 'Save the Date's in Britain or how expensive this would be, but check out these ones printed ON feathers! So cool.

Also, I'll add that blog to the side list of blogs for inspiration for you ladies!

  1. Ha awesome...it's not something that is done every time here but learning from our sisters and brothers across the pond it is becoming more common practice and something which we have decided to do. The feathers made me smile as you know my original (yes that would suggest no longer) idea was to send out peacock feathers with a tag tied to them as our save the date...however, as pete has a phobia of birds which i didn't realise meant feathers too, he is not that keen on the idea! I have told him however that there will definately be some...not many peacock feathers featuring at the wedding...whether in the bouquets or on the tables i'm not sure, but they will be there somewhere! Meanwhile after sitting in an Irish pub last Sunday we have done some thinking and have a graphic designer friend of ours mocking up a save the date card for us. When i work out how to post photos on this (Krista...help?!)i will post one of the venue we chose - Ballydugan Mill. It is a rennovated flour mill somewhere in the middle of Northern Ireland, very quaint, very rural, very very different! But as it is an old flour mill, we are designing the save the date card to look like the bag of a famous brand of flour...again...very different! Again when i know how to add things here, i'll post some pictures!
